Title: Linear Dynamic System Model for Describing Cognitive and Neurophysiological Improvement in Children with Dyscalculia
Abstract: This paper proposes a linear dynamic system (LDS) model to describe and quantify the coupled cognitive and neurophysiological improvement observed in children with developmental dyscalculia undergoing rehabilitation exercises. The model represents the temporal evolution of two latent states (cognitive performance and neural efficiency) that can be measured indirectly through behavioural assessments and BAEP (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials). The mathematical structure enables parameter estimation and simulation, offering a principled framework for linking observed data with theoretical constructs of learning and neuroplasticity.
